How churches can help Triumph
The vision for Triumph began at Abundant Living Ministries, who has been an integral part of our operations since we opened our doors. We are particularly proud that many churches of different denominations have joined together to ensure that we have the support to allow us to fulfill our Christ-centered mission.
Domestic violence crosses all denominations, so our goal is to partner with churches from all over the community. A monthly email is sent out to these volunteers with information for the church about Domestic violence, Triumph and events that may be of particular interest to the church body. The email also includes a monthly wish list and prayer calendar specific to Triumph. If your church does not currently have a representative, please contact Pastor Frances Thomas or 954-680-2500 Ext. 41 to learn how you can participate.
Churches and individuals can sign up for prayer requests for our community and Triumph.
Have you learned (or do you suspect) that a woman in your congregation is in an unsafe relationship? We provide guidance 24 hours a day. Just call us at 954-499-0909.
CHURCH LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Few pastors and lay leaders have training for the ministerial challenges related to domestic violence. Do you know the right steps to take when you suspect abuse? What should you do when a church member comes to you for help? (Couples’ counseling is rarely the right answer.) Once a year, we host training to build understanding of how domestic violence is affecting your congregation and what you can do about it from a biblical perspective. We can bring this to your staff and lay leadership specifically based on your calendar as well. Contact Leo Ayerdis, Esq. at LAyerdis@alm.org or 954-680-2500 Ext. 27 for information on scheduling a training.
We have a fun and informative interactive workshop to help teens and parents recognize signs of unsafe dating relationships and learn how to build healthy relationships in a way that honors God.
When your pastor needs a break or you want a special mission focus during offering or announcements, call upon our compelling, experienced speakers. They’re available for church breakfasts, youth group events, men’s and women’s meetings.
We can supply interesting, educational, useful content about domestic violence for your weekly bulletins, newsletters, and website.
We’ll set up our traveling kiosk and send a representative on your day of worship and can answer questions and provide immediate help.
Triumph relies on the generosity of donors to power our mission of providing supportive and Christ-centered housing and services to women and children who are escaping domestic abuse.
